Imaginative Illustrations

In art 4th grade students started the year by reading “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!” by Dr. Seuss. They looked at his creative illustrations of imaginary places and used them as inspiration to create their own unique illustrations. Students have learned how to represent space in their drawings by including a foreground, middleground, and background. They have also learned several hatching techniques to represent value in their illustrations.
