Rococo Vases

4th grade students studied the art of the Rococo period. This style is characterized by playful curves, elaborate details and elements from nature. Drawing inspiration from the Rococo style, students created designs for a ceramic vase. Beginning with a pinch pot, students used coils to build up the shape of their vase. They then used relief and carving techniques to add the ornate details. The results are elegant and stunning!
